LAS VEGAS – What an exciting few days at my first Prosper Show. I sell products on Amazon in Canada and the United States and the Prosper Show did not disappoint.
The biggest reason I wanted to attend was to connect with other e-commerce entrepreneurs. I think e-commerce entrepreneurship can be lonely, so it was nice connecting with others and talking about challenges we face—and most importantly how to overcome them.
What really caught my attention was the expansion of other marketplaces like Shein, Walmart, and TikTok Shop. As e-commerce continues to grow, the ability for new business owners to get into the space is very apparent and encouraging.
The three-day event kicked off with The Women’s Meet-up. I’ve attended many conferences before and men do outnumber women. By providing this safe space, it allowed for female entrepreneurs to connect with one another and share challenges that are specific to females. It also gave me the feeling that not only did I belong there but I was supported in this environment.
I also attended Sean Riley’s (Dude Wipes founder) keynote address. What’s so insightful was listening to all the obstacles that their business overcame. Most importantly how they not only survived but thrived during the toilet paper shortage with their Made in USA product. Luck is when opportunity meets hard work and the story of Dude Wipes is a testament to that.
I also had the opportunity to speak at the Prosper Show. My topic was user generated content (UGC) and how to use it for your brand. I had so many brand owners attend the talk. They shared with me after the event that they found so much value in the strategies and techniques I discussed.
As e-commerce continues to evolve, it’s important to stay informed and committed to your continued growth. As more marketplaces open up and more strategies become relevant, I am excited for the future of e-commerce and my journey in it.
Continuing to raise the bar is a strong motivation for me. If you want to raise the bar for yourself and are looking for your next challenge, you will find value in attending The Prosper Show. See you in Vegas at The Prosper Show in 2025.
