The A+ Content is one of the most important aspects of every brand on Amazon. If you’re looking to increase your sales, engage with your customers, and increase your traffic, then A+ Content is not only a good idea, it is a need.

Statistics show that A+ Content increases sales on Amazon by up to 10%. This feature also shows your brand in a more visually compelling way, which in the long run will make an ever-lasting impression on your customers.

In this article, we’ll show how to make A+ Content that will stay on top of the minds of your customers and will take your brand to new heights.

Choose the A+ Content

The first thing you must do is select what kind of A+ Content you want. You can choose between:

  • Enhanced product descriptions
  • Brand Story

With Brand Story, you can show your brand’s vision, values, and story. This is a good opportunity to create an emotional connection with your customers and increase your chances of making a sale.

On the other side, with Enhanced Product Descriptions you can add up to five modules (to your basic A+ Content) to display in a more visually appealing way the benefits, USPs, and functions of your product.

Choose Your Products

Next, select the products you want to enhance. If you are unsure of what products to choose, you can go with your bestsellers or with those products that tend to sell at premium prices, you can even choose those items that are already driving traffic through seasonal campaigns.

Select the Modules

Now, it’s time to choose the modules for your A+ Content. In general, full-width images are recommended, however, here are some tips if you want to try something new.

The type of module you choose will entirely depend on your product. Some modules work best with certain products. For example:

  • Full-width images

Work best for lifestyle photos or images of your product in use. For example, Home decor, consumer electronics, clothing, etc.

  • Single smaller images

They are often used to provide specifications, bullet point lists of features or benefits, brand information, and more. It works with beauty and skin care products, sports and outdoors products, home, and kitchen, etc.

  • Multiple smaller images:

They are used to highlighting product features in groups. They can be very powerful for showing the buyer the most important aspects of your product, both visually and with text. It works with products like handbags, shoes, tech products, etc.

  • Comparison chart

This module provides a powerful way for the buyer to understand the key differences between similar products. It works with products like home appliances, outdoor gear, pet products, etc.

Start creating your A+ Content

Once the modules have been chosen, it’s time to start creating your A+ Content.

Firstly, make every A+ Content from scratch, and take into consideration your needs and desires. Then, make sure every image you create is high-quality and detail-oriented, so the final result is beautiful but efficient at the same time.

It is important that you analyze your product, its features, benefits, and unique assets, and that you make them look irresistible, so the customer won’t only make an emotional connection, but will realize he needs this product in his life.

Review and Wait for Approval

Once your A+ Content is ready, make sure it complies with Amazon Guidelines. Be aware of the image size requirements and the type of information you can include.

If everything is right, you can submit it for approval. This process can take up to seven days, and if there is any error, it will have to be fixed and resubmitted the listing for approval again.

Tips for an attractive and effective A+ Content

  • Find a balance between the images and the text supporting them: Whatever text you are using must be small enough that it doesn’t rob attention from the image, but big enough that it is easy to read.
  • Take advantage of its visual appeal: Make the A+ Content scannable and easy to consume. Font style and size are also important to make the information easier to read.
  • Keep it informative but short: Avoid confusing language, large paragraphs, unknown abbreviations, etc.
  • Use high-quality images: This may seem like nothing, but the definition of an image can make or break it for you. Having poor-quality A+ Content can hurt your reputation and give the wrong impression of your product. Remember, a high-quality image is always a priority.
  • Create beautiful designs and infographics: A picture is worth a thousand sales, so take this opportunity to provide amazing and visually attractive infographics to engage with customers and convince them that they need your product.

In conclusion, any brand owner that wants to grow their business on Amazon, must use well-thought and optimized A+ Content. Their principal focus must be creating content that is not only pretty, but actually makes a difference in your conversions.

And this is only possible through visuals that create an emotional connection with customers and, at the same time, use text and designs to retain attention and make sales.
