LAS VEGAS – In recent years, Walmart Connect has expanded its self-serve tools, introduced an AI assistant called Marty, and continues to build advertising solutions specifically designed to help sellers reach Walmart customers more effectively.

Prosper attendees can hear more about these efforts during Walmart Connect’s Learning Lounge session on March 11 at The Wynn Las Vegas. Prosper Pathway sat down with Adem Sengul, senior director, Growth Marketing, to discuss Walmart Connect’s approach to retail media and what sellers can expect if they stop by Booth #449.

Prosper Pathway: As Walmart’s retail media platform, what services does Walmart Connect offer to online sellers?
Sengul: Walmart Connect helps sellers reach millions of customers served online across Walmart’s website and app. Sponsored Search is the most common advertising solution that Marketplace sellers leverage to increase product visibility and capture massive demand that already exists on the Walmart site and app. With both a physical and digital footprint, we can connect ad exposure to both online and in-store sales, giving sellers a clear picture of performance and business impact. And through expanded self-serve tools and AI-powered features, we make campaign setup and optimization simpler — without the need for a large team or specialized expertise.

Prosper Pathway: Why is it so important for sellers to expand and take advantage of the Walmart platform?
Sengul: Diversification is no longer optional. Sellers who rely on a single retailer’s marketplace limit their growth potential and expose themselves to greater risk. Expanding to Walmart isn’t just about adding another sales channel; it’s about unlocking new avenues for growth. For sellers who may have started online only, Walmart creates a pathway to build an omnichannel presence — reaching customers not just on Walmart.com, but on shelves in stores nationwide. That kind of visibility can meaningfully expand a brand’s footprint and long-term growth potential.

Prosper Pathway: How does your human-led, tech-powered approach help sellers navigate complexity?
Sengul: Sellers today have access to tools, but don’t always have the necessary clarity to prioritize. Innovations like Marty, our AI assistant, help simplify performance insights and reduce day-to-day guesswork for our advertisers. At the same time, we’re also investing in people. Our teams work directly with sellers, and we connect them with agency and partner support when needed — from campaign management to creative strategy. Technology helps sellers move faster, but it’s the human partnership that ensures those tools translate into meaningful business growth.

Prosper Pathway: What are some common mistakes new advertisers make?
Sengul: We often see sellers focus too heavily on short-term ROAS without investing in educating customers about their products. Sustainable growth requires balance. If you optimize only for immediate return, you risk missing the larger opportunity to build lasting demand. Advertising isn’t just about capturing existing demand; it’s also about creating it. Sellers who balance brand building with performance marketing are better positioned for long-term growth.

Prosper Pathway: What can attendees expect when they visit the Walmart Connect booth?
Sengul: We’re looking forward to meeting sellers where they are, whether they’re just getting started on Walmart Marketplace or looking to scale their advertising investment. Our team  is available to talk through strategy, review campaign performance and share insights tailored to individual business goals.  Sellers can stop by our booth or request a meeting ahead of the show through our booking link. We’re excited to connect and help brands unlock their next phase of growth on Walmart. Click Here if you’d like to book an appointment at the Prosper booth.
