SAN JOSE, CA – eBay and Klarna, the AI-powered global payments network and shopping assistant, have expanded their strategic partnership to key European markets—making Klarna’s Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) payment options available to more eBay shoppers. The move gives eBay buyers more choice and flexibility in how they pay and aligns with the evolving preferences of today’s shoppers.
Expanding from a successful launch in Germany, eBay is offering Klarna’s flexible payment options to millions of shoppers in the U.K., Austria, France, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain, with more markets coming soon. eBay shoppers can choose from Klarna’s payment options depending on their location, including interest-free Pay in 3, Pay in 30 days, or Financing for larger purchases with monthly repayments made over a longer period of time.
With the introduction of Klarna’s interest-free buy now pay later payment options, shoppers can pay over time for their eBay purchases. In addition to the versatility in payment methods, eBay buyers can shop with assurance when they select items eligible for eBay’s Authenticity Guarantee badge. A team of authenticators rigorously inspects and verifies the authenticity of each eligible item before it is shipped. This added layer of confidence, together with more flexible payment options for higher-value purchases, enables buyers to make informed and secure choices effortlessly.
